SUMMARY
Major Jackson teaches at Xavier University of Louisiana and Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina. He earned an M.F.A. degree in Creative Writing from the University of Oregon. A member of the Dark Room Collective, he is the recipient of many awards, including a Pew Fellowship in the Arts and commissions from the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. His work has been published in such journals as American Poetry Review, Boulevard, Callaloo, The New Yorker, and Post Road.
