The OECD's Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a three-yearly international comparable survey of the educational performance and skills of 15-year-olds in reading, mathematics, and science across OECD countries and other partner countries. This report presents the first results from PISA 2003, the second survey which focused on mathematical skills, covering results for 25 OECD countries for which comparable data is available. The PISA survey also explores a wide range of educational outcomes including students' motivation to learn and learning strategies; variations in performance in relation to gender and socio-economic background; and analysis of some factors that influence the development of knowledge and skills at home and at school, and the implications for policy development.Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Staff is the author of 'Learning For Tomorrow's World First Results From Pisa 2003', published 2004 under ISBN 9789264007246 and ISBN 9264007245.
