Kitchen Table Bird Book

John Ham was a teacher in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area for thirty-eight years, including eighteen years teaching zoology and ornithology at Grand Rapids Junior College. He was a registered bird bander and had held in his hand most of the species described in this book. His passion for birding was reflected in his dedication to the art throughout his life. He died in 1998. David Mohrhardt is a full-time painter and illustrator whose artwork graces The Coat Pocket Bird Book, Favorite Birds of Florida, Favorite Birds of the Southwest, Favorite Wildflowers of the Great Lakes and Northeastern U.S., and several other nature guides and how-to-paint-wildlife books. He has been featured in hundreds of museum exhibits and galleries and has received numerous awards for his work.
