Paul Dini is an Emmy Award-winning writer and producer (The New Batman/Superman Adventures and Batman Beyond). In comics he is the author of Batman: Mad Love, Batman: Harley Quinn, Superman: Peace on Earth, Batman: War on Crime, Shazam! Power of Hope, Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth, JLA: Secret Origins, and his creator-owned series Jingle Belle and Mutant, Texas. Dini has also collaborated with designer Chip Kidd on Batman Animated for HarperCollins, documenting the creation and unique visual styling of the groundbreaking TV series. Paul Dini lives in Los Angeles and is currently at work on a number of television, movie, and comics-related projects. Alex Ross studied illustration at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, then honed his craft as a storyboard artist before entering the comics field. His miniseries Marvels (Marvel Comics, 1993) opened a wider acceptance for painted comics. He moved on to produce the equally successful Kingdom Come (DC Comics, 1996). Receiving critical acclaim and multiple awards for these best-selling works, Ross made a name as both an artist and storyteller, dedicating himself to bold experiments within the comics medium. Most recently Ross was the subject of a ten-year retrospective of his work for DC Comics, Mythology (Pantheon Books, 2003), written and designed by Chip Kidd.
