Esther M. T. Sato, professor emeritus in the College of Education at the University of Hawaii, taught foreign language methods and coordinated the student teaching program for foreign language majors for over twenty years. For more than fifteen years, she also served as the liaison officer between the Hawaii Department of Education and the private Japanese language schools.
