Isolde's Dream and Other Stories is Sudhir Jain's first collection of stories. The title story is the love affair between composer Richard Wagner and Mathilde, young wife of his patron Otto Wesendonck and is narrated by Mathilde. The other love story in the collection is the tragic affair between young Gustav Mahler, another composer, and Marion von Weber seen through her eyes.
