Introduction to Agronomy

Craig Sheaffer is a faculty member in the Department of Agronomy and Plant Genetics at the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. He earned a B.S. from Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA and his M.S. and Ph.D from the University of Maryland, College Park. He teaches introductory courses in agronomy, crop sciences, and sustainable agriculture. He has received distinguished teaching awards from the Department of Agronomy and the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences. Craig has an active research program in sustainable and organic cropping systems that include the study of cover crops and perennials like alfalfa and native prairie plants.
