David Trout Pomeroy is an unabashed admirer of his contemporaries who served in The American Vietnam War despite the fact he opposed the military adventure and spent his late adolescence doing all he could to avoid personal involvement in the controversial conflict. Permanently affected by the alienation this war imposed on his generation yet deeply inspired by the valor exhibited by his contemporaries, he became a newspaper reporter, author and community activist.
