I Found U

Angie Klink’s imagination, deftly displayed in her award-winning ad writing and essays, plays merrily forth in her children’s books. She is the author of the Mascots for Kids lift-the-flap series. These sprightly books feature college mascots and their individual university landmarks like they’ve never been seen or written about before. Her ad copy and newspaper columns are fresh, humorous, touching and on target. With the same sensibility, she creates her rhyming children’s books, directed to children who are 8 years old and younger. They are also popular with all ages of alumni and fans as an addition to their memorabilia collections. I Found U is about Indiana University It’s the second book she penned, and it posed a challenge because Indiana University does not have a mascot. Klink took the letters I and U and, with the help of illustrators, turned them into spunky, loveable characters. After college, Klink worked as a copywriter for WASK Radio in Lafayette, Indiana. In 1991, after her first son was born, she began her freelance writing career. She writes print and broadcast advertising copy.
