About the Author:Gudrun Everett was born in 1931 in Germany and spent her childhood in Nazi-occupied Poland. By a 400-mile horsetrek and on foot, she and her family fled from the Soviets in 1945. She attended the Handel Conservatory in bomb-shattered Munich and later the Lamont School of Music, U of Denver, Colorado to become a classical pianist who also is a member of the Academic Artists of America. She has concertized as soloist and in ensemble both abroad and in the US, as well as taught for over twenty years fine arts at Museums in Massachusetts.
