The Hooligan Navy is the third book of a trilogy based upon the author's Navy (WW2) and Coast Guard (post-WW2) experiences. It is the frank and quite often humorous confession of what life was like in the late 1940's aboard a variety of U. S. Coast Guard cutters. Wesley Hall, at the age of 22, joined the Coast Guard in Oklahoma City, near his home, was sent to Government Island, Alameda, California.
