Frank Finale has more than three hundred fifty poems and essays published in more than one hundred different books, journals, and magazines. His critically acclaimed coffee table books of essays and poems about the Jersey Shore, ÒTo The Shore Once MoreÓ (1999) and ÒTo The Shore Once More, Volume IIÓ (2001), as well as his children's book, "A Gull's Story" (2002) (illustrated by Margie Moore) (all, Jersey Shore Publications), were regional bestsellers. Mr. Finale has taught elementary school for thirty-eight years and currently teaches at East Dover Elementary School in the Toms River Regional School District in New Jersey. He has done numerous Young Authors' Conferences for many different schools in New Jersey and was named in Who's Who Among America's Teachers: The Best Teachers In America Selected By the Best Students (5th Edition, 1998). He was also voted Teacher of the Year 2002-2003 by his colleagues at East Dover and named to the state of New Jersey's 2002 Governor's Teacher Recognition Program. He is currently the poetry editor for the new renaissance, an international magazine of ideas and opinions, emphasizing literature and the arts. In 1996, he co-edited, with Rich Youmans, Under A Gull's Wing (Down The Shore Publishing), the critically acclaimed anthology of poems and photographs about the Jersey Shore. In 1983, he helped found the literary magazine, Without Halos as well as its publishing organization, The Ocean County Poets Collective. He served as editor-in-chief from 1985 through 1995. In April 1999, he was a presenter and reader in the prestigious Eighteenth Annual Writers' Conference held at The College Of New Jersey.
