Christopher J. Priest began his writing career with Marvel Comics. In 1982, at the age of 21, Priest was promoted to full editor on the Spider-Man titles, becoming the first African-American editor for a major U.S. comics publisher. In addition to Amazing Spider-Man, Priest wrote Black Panther and Captain America for Marvel. For DC Comics, he has written Wonder Woman, Justice League of America, and Green Lantern. The miniseries that he co-wrote, Green Lantern: Emerald Dawn, reinvented and reintroduced the character of Hal Jordan, the most popular of all the Green Lanterns. Sleepers is Priest's first work of prose fiction. Michael Ahn is a journalist, fiction writer and playwright. His non-fiction work has been published in The Reader, The Tribune, The Light and The Guardian. His short fiction works "Cruise" and "Julianne" were published in The Quarterly. His plays "The Barking Wall," "Sages," "Suicide Bar," and "Side Work" have been performed in San Diego, Seattle, Los Angeles and New York. Ahn's true passion lies in WWII history, which led him to oversee the editorial content for Microsoft's "Combat Flight Simulator" series. It was during that time that he had the pleasure of interviewing many World War II fighter pilots, including Medal of Honor recipient Joe Foss. His favorite comic book characters are Sgt. Rock and the men of Easy Company, Batman, and the Green Lantern. Ahn is currently writing a "military history mystery" novel that takes place on the battlefields of Europe during WWII.
