Jeffrey D. Wilhelm is a professor of English education at Boise State University, where he also directs the Boise State Writing Project and serves as the in-service director for a national demonstration site project in content-area literacy. He previously taught middle and high school for fifteen years. A past winner of NCTE's promising-researcher award, and a current member of the editorial board for Voices from the Middle, Jeff has authored or coauthored three books with Heinemann: "Reading Dont Fix No Chevys" (2002), Strategic Reading (2001), and Imagining to Learn (1998).
