This report documents a study of gender differences in federal research grant funding. The study satisfies a requirement in the National Science Foundation (NSF) Authorization Act of 2002 (Public Law No. 107-368) to "examine differences in amounts requested and awarded, by gender, in major Federal external grant programs."
