Caro Somers retired to Newport, Oregon after teaching Humanities in a Michigan Community College. She helped develop curricula for music, art and cross-disciplinary courses. Part of her job was to escort students to concerts, plays and museums in the Detroit area. Always in the back of her mind was the hope that someday she would have time to pursue a writing career. Caro Somers was graduated from DePauw University, summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. She obtained a Master's Degree in Humanities from Wayne State University on an AAUW grant. She did post-graduate work at Oakland University and in Devon, England. She is a pianist and church organist and has worked in this capacity for many years. She has presented a series of slide/lectures on Art History for the Yaquina Art Association. Her hobbies include tap dancing, ballroom dancing, gardening and sewing. She has three children by a former marriage and one grandson. She and her husband, EJ Warren enjoy traveling and have been to Europe several times. They have taken cruises to Alaska, the Caribbean, New Zealand, Australia and the Baltic.
