Clive Cussler is the author or coauthor of twenty previous books, most recently the number-one bestseller Valhalla Rising, the NUMAR Files novel Blue Gold, and the nonfiction work The Sea Hunters. The last describes the true-life adventures of the real NUMAR, which, led by Cussler, searches for lost ships of historic significance. With his crew of volunteers, Cussler has discovered more than sixty ships, including the long-lost Confederate submarine Hunley.
