Bill Nowlin has authored or edited nine other baseball books, and written over 100 articles on baseball - almost every one of them tied to the Boston Red Sox. His first writing on the Red Sox was in 1957 at age 12, for a self-produced neighborhood newspaper. He always planned to write books when he grew up and, after a forty year hiatus, that time finally began to arrive in 1997. He is a co-founder of America's premier roots music label, Rounder Records.
