Alejandro A. Chafuen is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, based at George Mason University in Virginia. Born in Argentina, he was educated at Grove City College in Pennsylvania, and the Argentine Catholic University in Buenos Aires. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from International College in California. A member of the Mont Pelerin Society, he has written extensively in academic journals and other publications. He is one of the world's leading commentators on the economic thought of Thomistic and Late-Scholastic thinkers. He has taught at Universidad Francisco Marroquin in Guatemala; the National Hispanic University in Oakland, California; the University of Buenos Aires; and the Argentine Catholic University in Buenos Aires, among others.
