Christopher Hart is also the author and artist of the books, How to Draw Cartoons for Comic Strips, Making Funny Faces-Cartooning for Kids and Grown Ups, How to Draw Cartoon Animals, How to Draw Comic Book Heroes and Villains, Christopher Hart's Portable Cartoon Studio and Christopher Hart's Portable Animation Studio, all published by Watson-Guptill Publications. Hart started working in cartooning at an early age, designing characters for animated commercials at the age of seventeen. He studied at the California Institute of the Arts, then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University. He is a regular contributor to Mad magazine, has worked on the staff of the world-famous comic strip, Blondie, and has been a contributor to Highlights Magazine for Children. Hart is also a writer and director of films and television. He co-wrote and directed the feature film, Eat and Run (New World Pictures), and has written movies for 20th Century Fox, MGM, Paramount Pictures and Showtime cable television network.
