Robert E. Willett is president of Houston-based Financial Communications Company, which he founded in 1978. Since 1993, he has been editor, publisher, or both of the Electricity and Natural Gas Business Series and its predecessors. Since 1986, in addition to offering consulting services in financial communications and other disciplines, he has been associate publisher of Natural Gas magazine (John Wiley and Sons, New York). He has also consulted for other energy journals and other publications outside of energy. Through this work he has written or commissioned and heavily edited twenty-two hundred pieces about the energy industry, primarily concerning natural gas and electric power. He has also undertaken other financial communications projects (150 financial analysts’ presentations and fifteen annual reports) and assisted multinational corporations with corporate expansion in the United States and in Latin America. He has an MS in communication (except thesis) from the University of Houston, an MBA in finance (Columbia University), and a BA in economics (University of Georgia).
