Mimi Dietrich has been appliqueing for as long as she can remember! Her first quilt, made for her son in 1974, was a Sunbonnet Sue-Overall Bill quilt with a dimensional hankie in Bill's pocket. Mimi has lived in Baltimore all of her life and is inspired by the beautiful Baltimore Album applique quilts made in her city 150 years ago. She teaches applique classes all over the United States. In Easy Applique Samplers, she designed bright little wall quilts using easy applique designs and a sampler of the many applique techniques she enjoys. Her students in her "Graduate" applique class stitched many of the samplers for this book.
