Tom Ang has taught photography for many years. He has also worked as a technical editor, editor, and picture editor for the news media, as well as on many specialist publications. His own photography-both digital and traditional-has been exhibited internationally, and he has contributed to magazines such as What Digital Camera, Total Digital Photography, and MacUser. Tom won the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award for his photographic coverage of the Marco Polo Expedition, which pioneered the modern land crossing from Europe to China via Central Asia.
