John Chryssavgis is a Greek Orthodox clergyman and theologian. In 1985 he cofounded St. Andrew's Theological College in Sydney, Australia, where he served as sub-dean and taught patristics and church history until 1995; he was also lecturer in the Divinity School and the School of Studies in Religion at the University of Sydney. In 1995 he was appointed professor of theology at Holy Cross School of Theology in Boston, Massachusetts. He directed the Religious Studies Program at Hellenic College, where in 2001 he also established the Environment Office.
