In 1983, Christina Pirello was diagnosed with an acute form of leukemia. With little prospect of help from conventional therapies, she turned to a nutritional program for help, using a whole foods approach. Now, after more than fifteen cancer-free years, Christina teaches whole foods cooking classes, lectures and broadcasts her message via her public television show, Christina Cooks. She and her husband, Robert, also publish a bimonthly natural foods magazine, MacroChef.
