Susan Petersonis Professor Emerita of Ceramics at Hunter College at the City University of New York. She is responsible for setting up five ceramics departments in the U.S., including the Wichita Art Association School, the Chouinard Art Institute, the University of Southern California, the Idylwild School of Music and Art, and Hunter College at the City University of New York.
