Alberto B. Santos, M.D., is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is co-editor of Innovative Approaches for Difficult to Treat Populations . Dr. Santos has directed the psychiatry residency training program of MUSC since 1982. His educational background includes an undergraduate major in psychology and a master's degree in experimental psychology. He completed medical school and psychiatry residency training at MUSC. He finished his fellowship at the NIMH Psychiatry Education Branch. He is a fellow of the American College of Psychiatrists and the American Psychiatric Association.
