Enzo Angelucci, well-known writer and historian of aviation, is the author of the very successful Rand McNally Encyclopedia of Military Aircraft. He wrote The American Fighter published by Orion Books, which is the definitive guide to American fighters, from 1917 to the present. Journalist and publisher, he began writing on the subject of airplanes in 1962, and most of his books have been published in several languages, including Japanese. Italian, he lives in Milan, Italy. Paolo Matricardi, aviation journalist, has been a long-time associate of Enzo Angelucci's, with whom he has collaborated on many projects, and is the author of a history of aviation, in scale profiles, published in the United States by Military Press. He lives in Rome and works for major newspapers. Pierluigi Pinto, well known for the precision and clarity of his art, was attracted to aircraft at an early age. He is the author of several works, but this book is his largest undertaking: drawing full-color three-dimensional views of more than 170 aircraft.
