The miracles did not stop as she grew...they brought her the incredible luck to be chosen as the first helper to the greatest hero of WWII, Raoul Wallenberg. This young neutral citizen, a Christian, came to Hungary from Sweden in July, 1944 & in 6 months, saved 100,000 human lives from the hands of the German & Hungarian Nazis. At the end of the war, the Soviets, rather than the Allied forces, liberated the Balkan States, including Hungary. In January, 1945, Wallenberg was arrested by the Soviets & has been a prisoner in the Gulag ever since. Wallenberg's dream was always of the young, who had some living to do.
