Barbara J. Bergwerf ("Carolina's Story") is a former Chicago Tribune Photographer ¿ one of the first female photographers at the Tribune. She and her husband, Ben, along with their dog and a very talkative parrot, left the cold, windy city of Chicago for the warm, sunny beaches of the Charleston, SC area. Barbara¿s days are quite full with her nature photography business and her volunteer jobs with a local Turtle Team and the Sea Turtle Hospital at the South Carolina Aquarium. She donates her photography work to the South Carolina Aquarium and the South Carolina Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Center.
