Steven Mulak has been a full-time writer and artist since giving up his career as a marine engineer in 1988. Specializing in bird dogs and bird hunting, he has written and illustrated more than a hundred stories and articles for such magazines as Sports Afield, Gray's Sporting Journal, and Outdoor Life, to mention just a few. Steven has written three other books, and when he isn't wiritng or searching his favorite coverts for grouse and woodcock, he carves decoys and trains gun dogs.
