Ulrike Welsch, international photographer, immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1964. She was the first female photojournalist on the staffs of the Boston Herald Traveler and the Boston Globe, where she provided award-winning images. Since 1981 she has compiled a photographic stock library, contributing to educational texts, magazines, and calendars.
