Behind the Lines Pieces on Writing and Pictures

Michael Hofmann was born in Freiburg, Germany, and came to England in 1961. He lives in London, and teaches one semester a year at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He has won a Cholmondeley Award and the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize for his poetry.
