A former Bronx Zoo zoologist and college professor, Ted Levin is the author of Blood Brook: A Naturalist_s Home Ground and Liquid Land: A Journey Through the Everglades, which won the coveted Burroughs Medal in 2004. His writing has appeared in Sports illustrated, Audubon, National Wildlife, National Geographic Traveler, and Sierra, among many other publications, and one of his stories was included in Houghton Mifflin_s Best American Sport Writing 2003. Levin has been a commentator for Vermont Public Radio since 1997.
