Alien Invaders:Invasores Extra

Bonnie Leick grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. From there, she went to Southern California to attend the California Institute of the Arts. While attending Cal Arts, she sold her student film entitled Better Than Grass, to the Spike and Mike Festival of Animation. The film was shown in theaters across the country. After a very large earthquake and some flooding, she earned her BFA in Film/Video Character Animation. She then entered the world of animation, working on projects ranging from a commercial for HBO/Showtime, to Monty Python’s Holy Grail cd-rom game, to Warner Brother’s Space Jam, to various projects for Disney including The Tigger Movie. Bonnie also wrote short stories for Howie Mandel’s Lil’ Howie series of educational cd-rom games. After many years of contemplating leaving animation for the world of children’s books, she did and soon broke into the world of children’s books by selling a piece of artwork at the SCBWI’s 2003 art auction in New York. She then was hired on by Raven Tree Press to illustrate the book Alien Invaders.
